1. Name of the Passport Office under which you want to register.
2. Your full name
3. Date of birth

Steps to register on the Indian Passport Seva Portal

To create an account on the Passport Seva portal in India,

Step 1: Go to the official website

1. First, go to the official portal of Passport Seva at passportindia.gov.in.
2. On the homepage, click on the ‘New user Registration’ button.
3. The user registration form will open.

Step 2: Select Passport Office

1. Next, select the ‘Passport Office’ under the ‘Register to apply at’ option.
2. Next, select the city of the ‘Passport Office’ from the given options.

Step 3: Enter personal details

1. Next, enter your ‘Given Name’ in the specified field.
2. Next, enter your ‘Surname’ in the specified field.
3. Next, click on the ‘Calander’ icon and select your ‘Date of Birth’.
4. Next, enter your ‘E-mail Id’ in the specified field.

Step 4: Create Login ID and Password

1. Next, select the ‘Do you want your Login ID to be same as E-mail Id?’.
2. Next, enter the ‘Login Id’ in the specified field based on the option selected.
3. Next, set a ‘Password’ in the specified field.
4. Next, enter the same password in the ‘Confirm Password’ field.
5. Next, select a ‘Hint Question’ from the given list.
6. Next, enter the ‘Hint Answer’ in the specified field.
7. Next, enter the captcha in the ‘Enter Characters Displayed’ field.
8. Next, click on the ‘Register’ button.

Step 5: Verify your Email

1. A new page will appear showing the message to confirm the registration. 
2. A link will be sent to your provided Email ID.
3. Next, go to email and click on the link given. 
4. A new page will open.
5. Next, enter the ‘User ID’ in the specified field.
6. Next, click on the ‘Submit’ button. 
7. Your account will be successfully activated.

Step 6: Login to the Portal

1. Next, click on the ‘Click here to login’ option.
2. Next, enter the ‘Login Id’ in the specified field.
3. Next, click on the ‘Continue’ button. 
4. Next, enter the ‘Password’ set during the registration process.
5.  Next, enter the captcha in the ‘Enter Character Displayed’ field.
6.  Next, click on the ‘Login’ button. 

You will be logged in to the passport portal.
