Steps to register for IRCTC e-wallet online
To create an IRCTC e-wallet account,
Step 1: Go to the official website of IRCTC
- First, go to the official website of IRCTC at irctc.co.in.
- Next, click on the ‘Login’ option at the top of the page.
- Next, enter your user ID and password.
- Next, enter the captcha code and click on the ‘Sign In’ button.

Step 2: Open the ‘IRCTC e-wallet’ page
- Next, click on the “IRCTC EXCLUSIVE” option on the top menu.

- A new page will open.

Step 3: Complete KYC
- You will get two options to complete your KYC, Aadhar or Pan Card. Choose the one you want.
- Next, enter your ‘name’ in the specified field.
- Next, enter the ‘Aadhar/Pan Card number’ in the specified field.
- Next, tick the declaration box and click on the “Send OTP” option.
- An OTP will be sent to your registered number.
- Next, enter the OTP received in the specified field and click on the “Update” button.
- Next, click on the “Update KYC” button.
The KYC will be done successfully.
Step 4: Set transaction password
- Now, log in again and click on the “IRCTC EXCLUSIVE” option on the top menu.
- Next, click on the “IRCTC eWallet” option.
- Next, click on the “IRCTC eWallet Register Now/Reactivate” option. A new page will open.
- Next, set your “Transaction Password” in the specified field.
- Next, re-enter your transaction password in the “Confirm Transaction Password” field.

Step 5: Complete e-wallet registration
- Next, click on the “Submit” button.
- A popup will appear on the screen showing the successful creation of the eWallet account.
- Next, click on the “OK” button.
Your IRCTC eWallet registration process will be successfully completed. You can also complete the process through the IRCTC mobile app in the same way.
